Bereavement Groups
Parent / Caregiver Loss Group
We offer free support groups, twice monthly, for children and teens ages 7 – 18 and their caregivers who have experienced a meaningful death loss. While children and teens are meeting, caregivers also meet in their own support group. Group nights start at 6 and 6:30pm and run approximately 2 hours. Each group is facilitated by a clinician and a grief-informed volunteer.
After School Groups
Our Kid’s Club and Kid’s Crew are specifically designed to meet the needs of our younger grievers, ages 3.5 – 12. These free groups run twice monthly, beginning at 4:15pm and run approximately 1.5 hours. We use the arts, books, and play to explore and express feelings. While children are meeting, caregivers also meet in their own support group. Each group is facilitated by a clinician and a grief-informed volunteer.
Sibling / Child Loss Group
We offer a free group night for those families who have experienced the death of a child/sibling. While parents meet in a group, children and teens meet with other bereaved siblings, ages 3.5 – 18. These groups run twice monthly, starting at 6pm with a pizza dinner, and run for approximately 2 hours. Each group is facilitated by a clinician and a grief-informed volunteer.
Substance Use Loss Group
We offer a free specialized support group for families who have experienced a death due to substance use. These groups run twice monthly, on Tuesdays, for children aged 3.5 – 18 and their caregivers in collaboration with The Sun Will Rise Foundation. Group nights begin at 6pm with a pizza dinner and run for approximately 2 hours. Each group is facilitated by a clinician and a grief-informed volunteer.
Young Adult Group
Our Young Adult Group supports individuals ages 18 – 30 who have experienced a meaningful death loss. This free, virtual group is held twice monthly, on Zoom, on Thursdays at 6:30pm.
Grandparent Grief Support Group
This daytime group is designed for grandparents supporting a grieving grandchild. This free, virtual group runs twice monthly, on Zoom, on Mondays at 4pm.

Counseling
We recognize that not everyone feels comfortable in a group setting or sometimes might need more individualized support as everyone grieves in their own unique way. We offer grief counseling to individuals on a sliding scale from $50 – 150 per hour. Depending on need, pro bono sessions may be available, thanks to the generosity of The Parmenter Foundation. We cannot accept insurance because we do not use diagnostic codes.

Sometimes, finding the right words to talk to a child about death is hard. We offer family consultations to help support and guide that conversation. Our initial consultations by phone or in person are free of charge. For more information, email [email protected].
