National Alliance for Children’s Grief

The NACG raises awareness about the needs of children who are grieving and provides resources for anyone who supports them.

Actively Moving Forward®

Actively Moving Forward® (AMF), a HealGrief® program, is a national network created in response to the needs of grieving young adults.  They connect, support, and empower grieving young adults to “actively move forward” in memory of their person. They also host virtual support groups for young adults and adults 30+.

Coalition to Support Grieving Students

The Coalition’s purpose is to create and share a set of industry-endorsed resources that will empower school communities across America in the ongoing support of their grieving students.

What’s Your Grief

WYG’s goal is to create a community that provides hope, support, and education to anyone wishing to understand the complicated experience of life after loss.

Dougy Center

The Dougy Center is an international authority on childhood grief and bereavement. They provide support and a wealth of resources for those seeking to assist children who are grieving.

Charlie’s Guys

Charlie’s Guys is organized for children 18 years and younger across the United States who have lost a sibling or parent. They provide experiences or gifts for bereaved children.

Empower

Empower is an international nonprofit that supports, connects, and empowers all children and young adults who have lost a parent. Empower offers a range of year-round programs and activities provided at no charge to the family, nurturing an inspiring, diverse community and proving that not only can you survive parent loss — you can thrive.

Samaritans

Samaritans offers suicide loss survivors nonjudgmental listening and peer support. They provide many programs both in person and virtually to support survivors in their grieving.

Men’s Grief Network

The Men’s Grief Network® educates the public about the special needs of men who have lost their spouse or life partner, child, parent or sibling. They do this by promoting the development of support groups for men to manage their grief and adjust to a new life and by advocating for research into men’s unique needs to deal with grief.

National Widowers’ Organization

The National Widowers’ Organization is a virtual toolkit for men coping with the loss of a loved one, a place where men can meet others going through the same transition.

The W Connection

The W Connection is a community of widows helping widows rebuild their lives with new tools, strategies, understanding, and hope. Their programs and services are founded on Four Pillars; Connection, Encouragement, Education and Empowerment.

The Journey – Living With Substance Loss

The Journey is a bereavement group for those who have lost someone due to substance use. They meet virtually and in person at Common Street Spiritual Center in Natick.

LOSSteam MetroWest

The LOSSteam (Local Outreach to Suicide Survivors) is a volunteer group of suicide loss survivors who are called to the scene of a suicide to provide comfort, support, and local resources to the family and friends of the deceased. 

H.A.L.O 18

HALO 18 (Healing After Loss from Overdose) is a peer support group for family members who have lost a loved one due to drug overdose. They generally meet in Rieger Hall at 7pm on the first Monday of each month.

The Sun Will Rise Foundation

The Sun Will Rise Foundation provides free peer grief support for those who have experienced the devastating death of someone they care about due to substance use. They provide a range of grief support services, including a private Facebook group, social get togethers and multiple monthly in-person and/or online Zoom meetings. The groups are open to anyone 18 and over. 

E-Motion

E-Motion, Inc. is a non-profit organization on a mission to ensure community is a right for all of us. E-Motion provides programming for grieving individuals and grief literacy training for organizations, communities and teams. They do this through the power of movement, community, and ritual.
